Services Transmission
Transmission gears deliver power from the engine to the drive wheels, shifting automatically to provide the best power and efficiency for your driving speed. A special transmission fluid cools and lubricates the gears. Over time, this fluid degrades, and its lubricant qualities diminish. Several manufactures "claim" that their transmission fluid is a "life-time" fluid and does not need to be changed. They will go as far as to say their transmission is not serviceable and do not even have a dip stick to check the fluid level or fluid condition. What this means to us, in the real world, when your transmission fails you'll need to replace the fluid.

Every transmission has a way of filtering out particles created by normal wear and storing them in a filter or screen. Most filters can be serviced and the fluid changed. We recommend to have your transmission filter and fluid serviced at lease every 50k miles. Some manufactures recommend shorter intervals. SAH can check into your vehicles manufactures recommendations for servicing your transmission.

Changing the fluid at the correct intervals can help prevent premature wear and damage to the transmission. We would much rather service your transmissions fluid and filter than for you to have an unexpected break down and costly transmission replacement cost.  All of today's transmissions are operated by a computer system and are very expensive to replace.
